Oryoqi®️Tenmoku Glaze Chawan
One of the most iconic Japanese glazes for Chawan, this is a personal tribute to the life and work of Sen no Rikyu, who heralded Japan's Chanoyu tradition that survives to this day. He promoted and embodied the philosophy of Chado through harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility. These are reflected in his choice of wares that he expressed through the spirit of wabi-cha.
The Chawan or tea bowl is the ware used in Japanese tea ceremony or chanoyu. The custom goes back at least 500 years and is now considered an art form. Each bowl comes in a wooden box packaging.
